‘Wonder’ is a year-long journey in community, discovering together the varied landscapes of prayer. It has 3 focuses:
- Praying together – tasting wonder as we encounter the presence of God
- Learning together – wondering and curiosity as we explore different types of prayer
- Journeying together: wandering through life together, keeping each other company in prayer.
The monthly gatherings give opportunity for participants to be together, hear teaching from different voices on different types of prayer, and to try things out. The emphasis is on praying together more than listening to a talk.
‘Wonder’ is free of charge, and consists of 10 3-hour sessions, held in person on Saturday mornings in different locations around the diocese.
Participants are asked to commit to attending all sessions, if at all possible, and there are ways to stay connected with one another in between the sessions.
The next Wonder Community will run from January 2027 to November 2027, and if you would be interested to know more, please contact Lyndall Bywater, Diocesan Prayer Network Co-ordinator.
